JAFAICAN / THE JOURNEY

Jafaican launches digitally — December 2025

From cinema to your sofa: Jafaican launches digitally

Jafaican began a new chapter on 5 December 2025, bringing Fredi Nwaka’s crime comedy to home audiences following its festival premiere and cinema releases earlier in the year.

After the red carpet celebrations on Australia’s Gold Coast and screenings in Australia, the UK and Ireland, the digital release gave audiences another way to discover the film. Those who missed it in cinemas could now experience Gazza’s story at home, while returning viewers could revisit its characters and comic turns.

Peter Andre stars as Gary “Gazza” Buckle, a London crook desperate to raise £35,000 to cover his grandmother’s care. With just 21 days to find the money, a risky opportunity takes him from London to Jamaica, where his plans become increasingly difficult to control.

Written and directed by Fredi Nwaka, the film features Wil Johnson, Oliver Samuels, Jamie Lomas and Sizzla alongside Andre, bringing together British and Jamaican talent.

Digital viewing options include Apple TV Store and YouTube Movies, with rental and purchase availability varying by country and platform.

The digital launch extended Jafaican’s journey beyond its original cinema dates, making space for new audiences to discover its mix of crime, comedy and family motivation. From festival screens to living rooms, it marked another step in sharing the film’s story.
